All clients of CleverDogs are required to have up-to-date vaccinations for their dogs. Proof of vaccination must be emailed prior to attending any classes or utilizing our services. CleverDogs requires:

Distemper
Parvovirus
Rabies

These vaccinations must remain current according to your dog’s age (you can reference the chart below for age recommendations). We strongly encourage Bordetella, Canine Influenza, and Leptospirosis vaccinations to be current according to your dog’s age, plus your dog be on flea/tick and deworming medication.

Are intact dogs allowed to participate in group classes at

Absolutely! At Cleverdogs, we welcome intact dogs to join our group classes. However, if your female dog is in heat, we kindly request that she wear appropriate protective pants or garments to class. This policy ensures that all dogs can participate comfortably and safely. We’re excited to help your dog learn and grow with us!

What should I bring with me to training?

1. Your dog! Give your dog some exercise prior to class—just enough without overdoing it! The ideal amount varies based on their age and individual needs.

2. Flat buckle collar or harness: Note that back-clip harnesses are ideal for exploration, hiking and sled dog training. If your dog is strong then a collar or front-attach harness is a better option.

3. Leash (Non-Retractable).

4. Bring a variety of small, high-value treats to class. This might include part of your dog’s regular meal for easier exercises, one or two types of pet-store treats cut into tiny pieces, and a couple of extra-tasty options—like cheese or plain cooked chicken—for high-motivation moments. If your dog has any food restrictions, please reach out—we’re happy to help you find suitable alternatives.

5. Chew (optional): A chew item can be helpful during breaks to give your dog something to do.

6. Tug/Play Toy (optional): Feel free to bring interactive toys—some exercises use them to help keep your dog motivated and having fun.

Where are CleverDogs dog training classes held in Columbus, OH?

CleverDogs is located at 6175 Shamrock Ct., Suite C, Dublin, OH 43016. Our facility is conveniently positioned near the Columbus–Dublin area, making it easy to access from Upper Arlington, Hilliard, Powell, and surrounding Central Ohio communities. When you arrive, you’re welcome to park in the back of the building, and enter through our group classes CleverDogs entrance. All group classes, private lessons, workshops, and sport training sessions take place at this location unless otherwise noted.

Where can I view my upcoming class and class information?

You can view your upcoming classes and all class information in our dedicated client portal. Simply log in and navigate to the “Classes” or “Workshops” tabs to see your upcoming sessions and details. If you have any questions, you can easily reach us—just use the email icon located in the top right corner of the portal to send us a message.
