Group Puppy Training Classes
Group Puppy Classes are our most cost effective option, plus they offer lots of puppy socialization opportunities.
Group puppy training classes are great for families who want to learn the basics and get off to a great start with their puppy training!
Private Puppy Lessons
Private coaching is perfect for puppy training when you want a flexible schedule and a setting with limited distractions.
Private puppy lessons are good for families who have a very specific goal or challenge area such as puppy biting or crate training.
Day Training
Have your puppy spend the day with us! Puppy Day Training is an option for those who want their puppy to make progress at a faster pace.
Day Training is great for busy families who want extra support—and a happily tired puppy at the end of the day. Puppies enrolled in this program must also join in group or private lessons.
Mini Day Training
Your puppy gets two hours of complete, personalized attention while you’re away.
Mini Day Training is a wonderful fit for families who can’t commit to full-day training or who want focused support for just a couple hours. Puppies should also join our group or private lessons so you can continue reinforcing everything they learn.

Group Puppy Training Classes
CleverPuppy

Is this your first class at CleverDogs, and is your puppy 16 weeks of age or younger? Start here!
Designed specifically for puppies up to 16 weeks of age at the start of class, CleverPuppy focuses on the critical developmental period when learning happens fastest. We’ll build a strong foundation through appropriate socialization, introduction to basic cues, leash skills, confidence building, and mental enrichment. Just as importantly, your puppy will learn to look to you for guidance, develop calm behavior around people and other dogs, and begin practicing the life skills that make living together enjoyable. We believe training should be fun for both ends of the leash, so expect plenty of games, learning, and a happily tired puppy at the end of each class!
Sport Puppy | Level 1

Duration: 6 weeks
Ready to go beyond the basics?
Sport Puppy | Level 1 is designed for puppies and handlers interested in developing the foundational skills needed for future dog sports. This class focuses on teamwork, engagement, reward development, body awareness, appropriate independence, and the balance between stillness and motion. These concepts help create thoughtful, confident dogs and provide an excellent foundation for activities such as agility, rally, obedience, scent work, and more.
Please note that this is not a general manners class. If your goal is everyday life skills such as loose leash walking, polite greetings, and household manners, Core Skills is the more appropriate starting point. If you have questions about which class is the best fit, we’re happy to help!
Sport Puppy | Level 2
Price: $150
Puppy’s Age: <8 months
Duration: 6 weeks
Sport Puppy | Level 2 builds on the foundation established in Sport Puppy | Level 1, continuing to develop the skills needed for future dog sports. We’ll strengthen teamwork, focus, engagement, and reward development while introducing more advanced activities involving object interaction, body awareness, coordination, and thoughtful problem solving. This class is designed to help puppies gain confidence, enthusiasm, and the ability to work as a team with their handler while preparing for sports such as agility, rally, obedience, scent work, and more. Appropriate for puppies who have successfully completed Sport Puppy | Level 1.
Young Dog
Price: $100
Puppy’s Age: 16 weeks to 2 years
Duration: package of 4 classes
This class is designed for young dogs navigating the challenging adolescent stage (approximately 4 months to 2 years).
Instructor approval is required—please send us an email before enrolling. Dogs should have completed CleverPuppy, Core Skills, or an equivalent program and be comfortable working in a group class setting. Some dogs may benefit from the use of a barrier as they build focus and confidence.
In this class, we focus on the skills that are often the most difficult for young dogs: engagement and play-based teamwork, reward development, self-control around distractions, polite greetings, stays, and working calmly around both dogs and people. We also introduce a variety of mentally engaging exercises designed to keep dogs thinking, learning, and successfully navigating real-world challenges.
$460/4 Days of Day Training
Puppy Day Training in Columbus, Ohio
Our Day Training program in Columbus, Ohio gives your puppy a full day of learning, enrichment, and fun — all designed to build real-life skills that last. Drop your puppy off before work and pick them up after. Know they’re spending the day with a professional trainer who’s helping them grow. We use your puppy’s breakfast and favorite treats to reinforce key skills like coming when called, walking politely on leash, greeting people calmly, settling when asked, and more. Throughout the day, your puppy will enjoy a thoughtful balance of training, play, and rest, with frequent outdoor breaks to support potty training.
You’ll receive regular written and video updates, so you can easily track your puppy’s progress and continue building on their skills at home. This keeps the training momentum going even when your schedule is busy, helping your puppy develop good habits consistently. Puppies enrolled in this program must also participate in either our group or private training sessions, which not only provide hands-on guidance and socialization for your puppy but also ensure you, as the owner, receive the training and tools needed to support your puppy’s ongoing success.
$345/3 Days of Mini day Training
Mini Day Training in Columbus, Ohio
Mini Day Training gives your puppy a focused, hands-on experience similar to our full Day Training, but in just a 2-hour session. It’s a great option for puppies still building confidence with crating, and perfect for practicing basic manners, building new skills, and bonding with new people. Drop your puppy off for two hours of one-on-one training with a professional — no crating involved — and watch them make progress in a supportive, enriching environment.
Puppies enrolled in this program must also participate in either our group or private training sessions, which not only provide hands-on guidance and socialization for your puppy but also ensure you, as the owner, receive the training and tools needed to support your puppy’s ongoing success.
